How to build an Eduard FW190 engine closed up, or the next instalment of the F-8
So the next instalment on the FW-190 F-8, the nose Cowlings. Having built a few of these this is the easiest way i've found of building with the nose closed up.
First chop up the exhausts, and glue to the inside of the cowling, after building up the nose ring.
Then build up the engine - you only really need the front section. Then glue the cooling fan to the cowling
Glue the cowling to the nose - this avoids the problems of aligning the engine bearers
Put some Mr Surfacer 500 along the joints
Finally clean up the joints with a cotton bud soaked in IPA.
