I built this quickly as a testbed for Agama 'Red Top' alcohol based paints. These paints turned out well, and I enjoyed the Airfix kit as well. Definately recommend both !
Finished this morning, one of my favourite kits the Eduard Aircobra, this time in the Special Edition MTO Theatre boxing. Painted with Gunze throughout, and weathered with Pastels, Oils and AK and Mig Solutions. The build thread is available if interested here Apologies for the slightly uneven photos, but one of my lamps bulbs went part way through, so the white balance was tricky - if it ever stops snowing I may take some more outside. Peter
Finished Sunday, a really quick build over the course of 2 weekends - made quicker when I dropped it and cracked the canopy, dislodged the Instrument panel and seat and lost the gunsight. Eduard's 1/48th P-39 from the MTO Dual Combo, this time as an Italian co-belligerent airforce. Really fun kit, as long as you don't drop it :-) Peter
Academy 1/32nd F-16I Sufa With Eduard Etched Belts and External set Finished this on Monday - I have very mixed feelings about this kit, it's very impressive but it's also somewhat variable. Being made out of a mix of kits the plastic and details are slightly variable, which makes things more interesting. The fit isn't bad, but does need fettling in places, and some of the engineering could be better. The Eduard seatbelt set is great, but the External set is completely pointless - the Afterburner parts which was the main reason that I got it simply didn't fit, being too wide to fit in the jet exhaust.
